Rudolf Diesel was the inventor of the diesel generator, known as the father of it, experienced an unusual life, his invention had widely used in automobile, ship and even the whole industry. Rudolf Diesel was born in Paris 1858. In 1875, he won a scholarship to enter the University of Munich reading machinery manufacturing. In 1879, Diesel graduated from university and worked in a machinery factory in Winterthur, Switzerland. During the work, he deeply felt the low efficiency of the steam engine, so he had an idea of ??the new engine design. Then he quit his work and set up his own generator laboratory in Paris.

During 1893 to 1897, he designed a new type of generator which had an great advantage compared with traditional generator. He lost a lot of money with stock change and sank into economic trouble because of lack of economic minds. 1913, he was just 55, when he traveled in The English Channel, he was secretly disappeared.
